Of British and Jamaican heritage, Grace Wales Bonner launched her namesake brand in 2014, and her collections have become known for merging the worlds of fashion, music, literature, art and design.
Quite the accomplished designer, Bonner's accolades include the LVMH Young Designer Prize (2016), the BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund (2019) and the CFDA’s International Men’s Designer of the Year (2021). In 2022, she was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for her services to fashion.
Most recently, Wales Bonner was named the winner of the British Fashion Council’s Independent British Brand award.
